Nix Companies Announces Leadership Transition: CFO Promoted to COO, Accounting Manager Hired for Nix Industrial

Poseyville, IN (January 19, 2025): Nix Companies is proud to announce an exciting leadership transition that reflects our continued growth and long-term vision across our integrated businesses.

Jared Baehl Promoted to Chief Operating Officer

Jared Baehl, who joined the Nix Companies team in August of 2017 to lead the Accounting Department, has been promoted from Chief Financial Officer to the newly established role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).

Jared has played a key role in strengthening financial operations, supporting acquisitions, and driving disciplined growth across the organization.

In his new role as COO, Jared will expand his focus beyond finance to oversee operational alignment, scalability, and execution across Nix Companies—helping ensure we continue to grow with intention while maintaining the values and culture that define us.

Sawyer Chesley Joins Nix Industrial as Accounting Manager

As part of this transition, we’ve hired Sawyer Chesley as the Accounting Manager for Nix Industrial, with the intention for Sawyer to grow further into a Financial leadership role for Nix Industrial as he integrates with our business.

Sawyer brings a strong foundation in accounting, audit, and financial analysis, with experience in public accounting and client-focused financial reporting. In addition to his technical expertise, Sawyer offers a global perspective shaped by volunteer work in South America and a strong leadership background as a Division I student-athlete. His approach and experience align well with Nix Industrial’s operational and financial goals.

Looking Ahead

This transition strengthens both operational leadership and financial oversight across the organization. Jared’s move into the COO role allows for greater focus on execution and scale, while Sawyer’s addition supports a thoughtful, long-term succession plan within Nix Industrial’s finance team.
